British QS, one of the most recognized companies in the world measuring the quality of higher education, published its latest top list for 2020 on 19 June. This year 1000 higher education institutions out of 1620 institutions in 82 countries were ranked based on 6 aspects.

When compiling the list, the evaluation of the academic sphere and employers, the citation of scientific works, the proportion of teachers and students and the number of foreign students and teachers were taken into account.

The QS 2020 list included 7 Hungarian universities, of which the best was achieved by the University of Szeged. In the Global World Ranking, the SZTE took the 501-510 place. Compared to previous years, the academic recognition of the institution and the proportion of foreign students studying at the University of Szeged improved.
